Julie Buchanan - Tenor Drummer/Dancer

My husband Andrew started taking bagpipe lessons the summer of 2010 and I decided I wanted to be involved too.  So I started taking highland dance lessons from Julie Earl in September 2010. I really enjoy dancing but it started to take its toll on my legs, so still wanting to be involved with the band I took up tenor drumming and absolutely LOVE it!  I started in March 2011 and got to compete with the band at the Thanksgiving Point games this summer!  I had so much fun competing and look forward to continue competing and learning more about tenor drumming. 

 
I have been married for 6 years, and we have a little boy William who we named after his late great grandpa who came over from Scotland in 1947.  Will loves hearing the bagpipes and will drum on just about anything he can hit.
