Garth Fielding II has loved the sound of bagpipes his entire life.

In November of 2006, he had the opportunity to go to Edinburgh, Scotland for a vacation with his wife for 3 days.  He toured the highlands of Scotland, had his picture taken sitting on the walls of Urquhart Castle (on the banks of Loch Ness) and saw Nessie.  The last day he was there, he walked 1.5 miles to a shop that made bagpipes and said I'm here to buy a set of bagpipes.  The owner said they were a made to order shop where you had to pre-order off the Internet.  He was about to walk 5 miles in the other direction when the owner said, "Hold on" and started grabbing pieces out of every box laid out for other customers.  He pieced together a set right there.  It took Garth eight and a half months after that to find a teacher, but in July of 2007 he started his piping journey.
