Andrew Barclay - Piper
I have participated in the Utah Pipe Band for many years and am grateful that my father and grandfather had the patience to teach me how to march and play the pipes while I was young. I have many fond memories of performing with my grandfather prior to his passing. One of my best memories is when we played the pipes in my junior high school production of Brigadoon together. I have enjoyed the friends I have made in the band as well as the many family members I have been blessed to associate with in the band throughout the years. I am also fortunate that my wife has taken up highland dance and has become an accomplished dancer winning far more medals than I have in a much shorter time. I hope to continue to contribute to the Utah Pipe Band and to pass this unique tradition on to my children in the years to come.
